Anyone who’s read my posts on Parcbench, my former political blog Dariaaanne and Facebook is familiar with my — shall we say — intense dislike of Ron Paul and his Kool-Aid following, which is rooted firmly in his wacky isolationism, his courting of 9/11 Truthers and his leftist propensity for blaming the USA and Israel for Muslim acts of aggression. It’s not a personality thing; it’s a policy thing. When it comes to our national security and interests, this so-called Republican is in lockstep with the left and thus a useful idiot for America’s enemies.
So imagine my delight when my good friend, young conservative activist Christina Beattie contacted me on Facebook to share the wonderful news that YAF has just given Paul the boot:
The Young Americans for Freedom has voted the Texas congressman off its national advisory board in the aftermath of his straw poll win at CPAC over his positions on national security issues.
“It’s a sad day in American history when a one-time conservative/libertarian stalwart has fallen more out of touch with America’s needs for national security then our current socialist presidential regime,” said the group’s national director Jordan Marks.
The dispute between Paul and the the group seems to stem from Paul’s anti-war activities and the prominence of his supporters at conservative events like CPAC.
“Rep. Paul is clearly off his meds and must be purged from public office. YAF is starting the process by removing him from our national advisory board. Good riddance and he won’t be missed,” added Marks.
Too bad the residents of Texas CD-14 saw fit to re-elect this nut, instead of someone like Tim Graney. If only it were as easy to rid ourselves of his disgraceful presence in Congress. It’s nearly as impossible as attempting a rational discussion of global jihad, Sharia Law and wahhabism with one of his deranged supporters.
Congrats to YAF on this most excellent decision!

Thank GAWD that they did this. The quicker Paul is isolated and put into a corner the better for all of us. The man is a cancer and his followers sheeple.
“isolationism..9/11 truther..blame america..” translation: he doesn’t believe America should fight Israels wars. I wish people who believe America should do just that would just come out and say it. Stop it with all this rhetoric about radical jihad and whatnot. Just say ” I disagree with Ron Paul because I am for big government in regards to Israel”. So much simpler.
Really, Lester? Why shouldn’t we support the only ally we have in the region? hell – we are in Libya and I would much rather support Israel. Take a deep breath and have an original thought.
“Why shouldn’t we support the only ally we have in the region?”
because they don’t pay taxes to us and they aren’t mentioned in our consitutution. They aren’t part of our country. They are a different country.
At any rate, I’m not condemning anyone for wanting to support them. I’m saying dno’t hide it behind all this rhetoric about isolationism and conspiracy theories. There were all sorts of conspiracy theories about the Clintons in the 90′s, republicans didn’t mind them.
Just say “I don’t like Ron Paul because he is not big government in regards to Israel” It diminishes your cause when you can’t be honest about it.
Funny how Obama turned his back on Iranian protesters who genuinely wanted their freedom, and has nothing to say about Neda Soltani who was murdered for the crime of standing with her fellow countrymen. While he golfed and went out for ice-cream, the thugocracy in Iran unleashed terror throughout the streets of Tehran.
What do you think he should have done? sent marines into Iran? We aren’t the worlds police and Iran wasn’t and isn’t a threat to us. You think iran would attack the US? They’d be vaporized if they even thought of it.
